(This goes back to when the 6 elf nations were all in existence living in an odd peace. Until a terrible decision would ruin the lives of those in the future.)
The basking sun was shimmering down on the forest of the West. The elves here were known to be at peace, save for the little occurrences of humans that ran too close to their barriers. Their ability to shift into anything of the forest allowed their detection to waver and their natural stamina was unlike anything else. The king at the time was named Aserius (A-ser-i-us), living with his beautiful wife Cherla. Both foresaw their nation was strong and protected them from any harm. Here and there crime was committed near their lands and immediately it was solved once Aserius heard of it. He never gave in to anything and protected his home in pride. As the king traveled down to his library in the basement the steps of his son followed close behind.
"What will we read today, father," he asked. Aserius chuckled at the lad. "My son, I am gonna teach you the most important thing out of all the books here. Its one our family only recently found out how to do and we have not allowed word of it to reach out to any of the other kingdoms," Aserius answered. He made sure not to tell the boy what would happen if one was found sharing its knowledge or trying to obtain it. Sure death was coming to that elves or beings way. His son's eyes shined at hearing this and he was showing much excitement.
"Now come join me, Kerdon, and I'll explain resurrection to you. But be warned your body will receive much pain from all the energy you use, including some risks found with different people. This only comes in handy for us once in awhile and we will barely try to use it. We have no idea what this power can do and we want it safe out of harms way. And I do warn you to never ever allow any of our blood resurrect anyone they want. Its not to be used for family or friends. Only in dire situations. We are trying to make sure the balance of life is sustained and the dead stay dead," Aserius began to explain. Kerdon listened on with horror in his eyes, but he nodded.
Meanwhile in the Ice Kingdom the king was beginning to pace in his chambers. His wife was close by laying in bed. "Would you please come to rest, Yuken," she requested. "How can I when I must think of a strategy? Do you not listen to how much I told you the damn Shadow Dark elves have bothered us and our home? Every chance they get they make our army fall. We are the weakest of the six nations. They are seeking a land for themselves. They never had an area just for them. Slowly they are taking all the space from the five of us, Kera," Yuken explained. Kera wasn't sure what to say because his words were true. The pain that nation was causing was slowly growing.
The Fire nation was continuing their daily mining when suddenly a blast from a nearby mountain rumbled the tunnel they were in. Immediately the elves inside vanished leaving their supplies and findings behind. Once their report reached their king his rage grew. His temper was able to cause lava to sprout out of the ground from anywhere. All the Kings that had begun their nations were hero's, powerful elves unlike any before or after them. Their stories had made legends among their people. His name was Talonk and his fire ability was the strongest of his line. None related to him could master the power he had. Upon hearing this sudden attack he ordered his soldiers to be on guard and check the area for any occurrences. His fear was thieves taking his nations loot or worse the Shadow Dark elves taking their loot to gain profit. Upon thinking these thoughts his anger grew, causing those nearby to stand back as fire slowly came from the ground.

Drake, king of the Water elves, stood in the practice courtyard with his daughter. There they stood in fighting stances. Someone yelled begin and they began to fight each other. This was their fifth fight this week and his daughter was fixed on beating him. Just when he was about to throw her into a wall, there was a loud boom just outside the palace walls. He grabbed his daughter and shoved her behind him just as a tall dark figure walked through a massive hole in the palace wall. "So you finally show your face Shade, King of the Shadow Elves," Drake growled.
Shade ignored the water king. He was here on his own while the his people attacked the other kingdoms. They didn't need him to lead them. They knew what they were supposed to do so he left them to it as he made a visit to the king of the water elves. "Now is that a way to treat a fellow king?" Shade drawled as he slowly walked forward. The men around him moved away. They were afraid of him just as they should be. "I only came here to take what I want and that would be the lovely Princess Tala."
Crystera stood in the highest tower in her kingdom. She could feel the tension in the air. The Shadow elves were acting up again. Turning her face into the wind, she closed her eyes and listened. Out of all her people, the wind elves, she was the only one to have mastered the art of hearing things in the wind. Even her mother, the old queen of the wind elves could not do it. She could hear the other rulers flipping out. Shaking her head, she looked out across the land her people owned. In the distance she could just see shadows moving closer to her castle. "Sound the alarm," she yelled using the wind to carry her voice. "The Shadow Elves are making their way here."

Once Aserius finished his reading with Kerdon he headed to his chambers only to hear the Water Kingdom was under attack. It seemed having no home caused the Shadow elves to take from the others. Their evil was not to be toyed with. He immediately had his guards on double watch. He wanted to be prepared for a fight.
Meanwhile in the Fire kingdom Talonk was able to keep the Shadow elves at bay. He decided to venture deep within the volcano where no other could dare go. Sleeping deep inside the lava was a wise old and immortal being. The beast only allowed a select few ride it or even dare come near him. He was unable to die and others say he was like a phoenix, able to be reborn if he had to. The horse rose out of the lava, his mane like fire. "Old friend what do you seek?" Talonk sighed. "I've come for your service in a war that may soon come. I believe very soon our nations will unite to change the history the true gods created." The beast said nothing and nodded.

Crystera kept her ears on the water kingdom knowing that's where their great enemy is. She kept her eyes on the fighting around her. It was somewhat hard to keep focused on two different things at the same time but she had practice at it. Turning she looked up at the sky where she could just see a small figure floating just out of harms way. "Be careful my precious Iska," she whispered up to her daughter. Then she turned just in time to be ran through by one of the shadow blades. From above she could hear a little girls scream. "Take control of our people and send these creatures back to hell. And remember I will always be with you," Crystera told her child just before she fell dead.
"You will not take my daughter," Drake hissed as he pushed her into the hands of his wife. He waited for them to retreat into the castle before lifting his hands. All around them a wall of impenetrable water formed around his castle. "Leave now or die!"
"You fool you cannot kill me. No one can," Shade laughed as a long sword appeared in his hands. "Give up now or perish just like the wind queen."

Aserius sighed realizing all were in danger. He decided the best way to survive was helping the other nations even if it meant he had to fall. Collecting all the men he could he began the journey to the Water Kingdom. Upon arrival chaos was everywhere. He looked to see Shade going after Drake.
"Your not taking anything as long as I am standing," Aserius replied his sword ready.
Talonk got on the beast whom he had called Rugtuk. Gathering his men he began to lead them to the Wind Kingdom. Once the forces there were dwindled to a lower number he went to the Water Kingdom in time. Rugtuk snorted some fire close to Shade's feet. Talonk smiled. "Hello old friend."

Drake watched as the other kings arrived to fight Shade. He shook his head slightly at their foolishness. 'They should be more worried about their kingdom's,' he thought to himself as he blocked Shade's attack. 'They know as well as I do that Shade fights dirty.'
Shade laughed at all of the kings. They think they could defeat him. No one can kill the shadows for they are always about. He prepared for the others attack as he continued to beat on Drake.
Iska, the former princess now queen of the Wind Kingdom, hovered over the fight over the water kingdom. She dare not go near the fight for she is too little. Looking over at the Ice Queen she knew that she had made the right choice. This battle was about to get ugly and wasn't a place for little girls like herself.

Talonk and Aserius began to attack the Shade fighting with everything they could. Surly three on one would win. Every chance Aserius got he spoke in whispers forbidden spells that his family line only used at dire times. It was time to ruin the Shadow elves once in for all.
The Ice Kingdom immediately heard the fall of the Wind. The queen did her best to protect Iska and kept her safe.

"You fools this is nothing but child's play," Shade laughed as he shrugged of the spells. He managed to block every attack with ease. "None of you can match me." He raised his arm as his dark elves swarmed through the hole he had made. "KILL THEM ALL!" he commanded his soldiers.
Drake focused on Shade as the dark elven army swarmed into his courtyard. He let out a ferocious roar, he felt his soldiers take flight in dragon form. The water kingdom was known for shifting into dragons. Now the dark elves shall feel their wrath. "Defend the castle. Do not let anyone through," he commanded. Using a battle voice only a dragon could use, he yelled up to Iska. "Get inside the walls their you will be safe while you watch and place your men where they are most needed." Then he turned his attention completely on Shade.

Aserius grew in anger but watched Drake. He surky lived up to his name. Aserius stayed back and decided to defend those on ground. Meanwhile Talonk really wanted to shift to his form, but he figured his ability of fire was good use. Looking at Drake he nodded waiting to see if he'd use him in a strategy if he needed help. The horse decided to fight along with Aserius keeping the dark elves from aiding their king.

Shade fought still with a smile on his face. He was laughing at these simple fools. They think they could best him, well they were dead wrong. His power was stronger than any one of these fools. His power has grown over the past couple years to a point where he could just barely control it. It was consuming him and the evil radiating off of him was like being drowned in the ocean. "You all will perish," he yelled.
"Not if I can help it," Drake growled as he fought hard against Shade. The evil radiating off him was a nuisance. He washed it off as if he was taking a shower. He was not gonna let this man win.
Iska hovered over the castle walls as she watched the battle before her. She used the wind to carry messages, telling where her people should go. She even sent messages to the other kings that she thought they needed to know. She may be young but her mother taught her how to think and fight like an adult.

The battle raged on and the Kings knew working together as one would end Shade's life. The kings hoped soon Shade would fall somehow and they needed the help of one more person, one who was a part of a set of woods deep within sacred ground.

Grey, the largest grey wolf known to exist in the outskirts of the wood kingdom, stood on a cliff that overlooked the battle at the water kingdom. He was a young adult but he was quite old. He aged just like the elves did, a gift he received from the great mother of all creatures since he was one of the first wolves to be born onto the world. It was hard to explain but he knew the great mother wanted him to help these elves in their fight against the shadows. With a great howl he launched off of the cliff to land lightly next to the water king. His muscles rippled with power as he bared his sharp fangs. His eyes glowed dangerously as he lowered his body to the ground and stood in an attack position. 'You will not win this fight,' Grey growled. He felt the great mother's power as she made it to where the elves could understand him.
Drake stood in amazement at the great grey wolf standing in a fighting position beside him. This was a first for him. He quickly recovered from his shock and prepared for Shade's next attack.
Shade frowned at the appearance of the great grey wolf. The odds of winning this battle were starting to look bad. He could feel ancient power at play here as the wolf prepared to fight for these fools. "I will not fall no matter how hard you try," he bellowed striking out at the wolf.

Rugtuk whined in anger, snorting as he galloped over to the great gray. Though Rugtuk was ancient he was made from the first formation of magic. He decided to help knowing his powers were strong.

'By the great mother's will DIE,' Grey howled as he launched at Shade. He clamped his powerful jaws around the dark elf's throat. His teeth sinking deep into his flesh as he pinned the elf to the ground. He held the thrashing elf still with his massive body. 'You shall not win.'
Drake stared in amazement at the great wolf. He had never seen anything like him. The power radiating of him was beyond his understanding. His sword fell to his side as he watched the great wolf slowly drain the life out of Shade.
Shade stared up at the sky in bewilderment. He couldn't move his body. He could feel the life slowly leave him. 'How is this possible,' he thought. 'This cannot be. I should've been victorious. How can I lose?!' Then he saw a flash of light. He looked into the wolf's eyes and saw a more ancient power buried underneath. 'So the ancients want me gone. Now I understand.' "Head my words, I will return!" he gasped just before darkness overcame him.

Talonk and Aserius came to join Drake and the great gray.
"I think to ensure he never returns certain things should be in place. We should protect these items," Talonk explained.
Aserius nodded. "I have a power that could bring him back and I am sure none of us want him to return."
