Shea watched as her son grew older. Each day he looked more and more like his father. Life was peaceful for the three. During the day Drachen would tend to his duties and Shea would teach their son how to fight while at night she and her wonderful mate slept close together. Some nights they would have fun. Herceg's sixteenth birthday came and went. He was becoming a fine young man. Soon he and Shea, were almost equally matched. There was still a lot to learn before he could truly best her. Shea was sitting up in bed reading a book waiting for Drachen to return.

Drachen was doing his daily duties. Through the years he watched as his son grew and equally saw his son had his same appearance. He even seemed to match Shea in some features as well. Whenever he tried to bring his son into the attention of his world, his son would always ask to leave or not be a part of it. It disappointed him, but he knew Shea was probably to blame. He only wanted his son to understand the royal life. Drachen knew this was tough.... it was for him and he too wished he never had these duties.
One day one of his trusted servants delivered a message from the fire elf's. He immediately went to find Shea to explain the situation.

Shea got up to put her book back in its place on her book shelf. Then she changed into her nightclothes. Just before she climbed into bed she made sure her weapons were safely put back into their proper places. She also made sure her devious son hadn't taken one of them. When she turned to climb into bed, Drachen walked into the room. "Is something the matter love?" Shea asked him with a confused look.

Drachen paused in the room looking at Shea in her nightclothes. He cleared his throat and saw her confused face. "Yes something is the matter. Sadly I have word that the fire elf's need our assistance with a war they have with their enemies. Normally they can handle it and never seek help, but this one is a little too strong for them. I hear its a group of rebel dark magic elves," he explained. "Its best we leave as soon as possible."

"Shall I have someone fetch Herceg or shall we leave him behind though he'd never forgive us," Shea asked as she turned to her closet. She stripped out of her clothes and pulled on the dress Drachen had given her the first day she was here. Then she strapped on her weapons, even though she didn't really need them she felt better with them on.

"You may go get him. I trust he stays out of danger, but nothing can ever be helped. I'll go gather my things but I do warn to be careful what you pack with you and wear. I've been to the fire elf's castle and nation before. It is extremely hot and the lava isn't fun to feel on your skin," Drachen warned and began to pack his things.

"Everyone just assumes I don't know such things," Shea mumbled under her breath as she threw the last of her things into a fire proof bag. "I used to go swimming in their lava pools you know," she called over her shoulder as she went in search of her mischievous son. She found him outside with the captain of the royal guard. "Pack your bags laddybuck we are going to battle," she informed her son after giving a nod to the captain. She wrapped an arm around Herceg and dragged him back into the castle so that he could pack his bags. She sure as hell wasn't gonna do it for him. He was old enough to do it himself now.

Drachen nodded and once he was set he headed to his brother informing him of his leave. Once that was done he waited for Shea and his son hoping they wouldn't be long.

Shea checked all the thing Herceg packed before giving a satisfied nod. Grabbing her things she walked out of the castle and stood next to Drachen. Herceg followed close behind. With a nod to Drachen she changed into a dragon. She knelt on the ground so that her son could climb up onto her back with all their bags in his hands. Shea jumped into the air and waited for Drachen.

Drachen shifted into his dragon form and grabbing his things he followed close behind Shea letting the sky flow through his scales. He missed the air sometimes. He had been human for far too long and being a dragon always brought him peace. He'd have to get his combat skills back up for his dragon. They continued to fly until the edge of the fire elf's territory could be seen. It'd been a long time since he'd been there, but alas nothing had changed much. These elves were known for their mining abilities and the ability to become an Ifrit. He flew close to Shea. "We'll need to find the king of these lands quickly. I am sure none of us want to stay long," Drachen explained.

Shea flicked her tail in her reply. The fire elf's territory wasn't her favorite spot to be. It seemed too chaotic for her at the moment. She shook her head slightly in confusion at that thought. Nothing was too chaotic for considering her life had been a complete hellhole. Ignoring her inner thoughts she began to search for the Fire Elf King.

Drachen continued to fly close to her, searching with his dragon eyes for the castle or area the fire elf king could be at. With his hearing he could hear insults toward him... mostly it was how the water elves always stayed or used dragons in fighting. Least water was always good against fire. He knew they must fear his ability to put their fires out. All the elf tribes/nations had weakness between each other. Suddenly he felt a presence nearby that reminded him of a strong authority... much like how his father had felt near him. He began to fly closer to it. "This way," he called flying in its direction.

Shea kept close to Drachen as the drew closer to the higher power she too had felt. Keeping an eye on their surroundings she landed lightly behind his mate. She stood at the ready in case she had to take flight quickly.

Drachen landed and looked at the king of the fire elves. He was a very tall, handsome, and strong man. He was very well muscled and he wore a red long robe with dazzling gold markings on it. Drachen bowed his head towards the king and quickly shifted into his human form.
"Its great to see you, Lord Judith. How has the fire nation fared," he asked, shaking the kings hand in greeting.
"My nation has always flourished in its mining and wars without a problem. You know of that Drachen. Its great to see you have taken your fathers spot well. I hear such good things coming from your nation. Sadly the affair we have is better best spoken in my chambers. Please join me, along with your wife and son," Judith asked. Drachen nodded and looked back at them, grateful the King wasn't mad for him bringing them here.

Shea shifted back once Herceg climbed off her back. She took her bags from her son then followed just behind Drachen. Herceg walked beside her. The two of them were much alike for they both were on full alert for any danger. From her previous experiences, something bad always happens at meetings like this.
