Drachen smiled and kissed her back as he held her. "Ulak will kill us but we must tell him. He will have to be willing for this change to happen."

"He don't have a choice," Shea half laughed. "We chose this path together and a king should always have an heir to the throne. It is the duty of the King's Queen to produce the heir is it not?"

"Okay," Shea said following Drachen out of the study. Ulak stood out in the hall waiting for them. Her face turned a light pink in a blush as she stood behind Drachen. She rested her face against his back, breathing in his calm scent as he faced his younger brother. "You tell him," she whispered.

Drachen sighed and looked at Ulak. "Shea is pregnant with my child," he blurted out. Ulak almost fainted but he gasped.
"You see my worries were true! You both never listen," he yelled.

"Oh stop your complaining you fool," Shea snapped peering over Drachen's shoulders. Her blush was gone and was replaced with anger. "Not only does your brother have an heir but it is also none of your business what we do. I love your brother a lot. I gave up my entire way of life just to be with him. And the least you could do is be happy for us." Her eyes were like white crystals. She could sense the forming crowd tense.

Ulak raised his hands in surrender. "Alright fine. I am glad for the both of you, but you'll see that my worried is a good thing. Now I am going back to work," he replied.
Drachen sighed watching his brother go. "Don't be too hard on him. Ever since so much death he's been cold and now he as to worry about another person in his family."

"I know what he is going through," Shea said watching Ulak leave. "It is the only reason why I am so hard on him. It's the same thing my teachers did to me when I was like that at one point in my life. And he has no need to worry. I don't plan to lose the family I have found with you. I'd rather die than return to the life of forever being alone."

Drachen smiled and pulled Shea close. "Well than I am glad I have you now. Ulak just needs to cheer up but only a girl could ever do that for him. He's too cold for that right now though."

"No one can cure him while in that state," Shea sighed resting her head on his chest. "He has to learn on his own, no matter how many years it takes." She breathed in his calm scent while the crowd slowly left.

"I want to be by your side from here on out," Shea whispered so only he could here. "Word will spread about our child being on its way. Assassins will come. I don't want to alone when they do." She felt his arms wrap around her protectively as he drew her closer.

"I know," Shea sighed pulling slightly away. "You still have those papers to tend to you." She gave a half smile as they walk back into his study.

Drachen nodded. "True but I'll do them quickly." He laughed then.
